Audrey G. • October 14, 2016The nuseum itself is beautiful. Always has great exhibits going on. Just make sure to check their working hours. On a nice day, you can walk along the boardwalk right behind the museum as well!
Jason • February 12, 2016The biggest art museum by the river - reminds of Southbank Centre. The building is left there since 2010 Shanghai Expo as City Pavillion. Cafe on top floor now.

Ginevra V. • December 20, 2016Beautiful contemporary art museum located in People's Park. We visited the "Shan Shui within" exhibition (contemporary chineese artists). Among many interesting works, I liked the Pan Xi at most.
Dave M. • February 9, 2019Very well done and much better than you’d think with a fairly large art section that will intrigue even the most unartistic person in the group (like me)!
Tony P. • January 5, 2014Do you know how to distinguish Yuan, Ming, and Qing porcelain apart? Find out here and many more art history in Aurora Museum. One of the quietest places in Shanghai with a lot of historical art.
Gabriel J. • June 18, 2017The former 2010 World Expo French pavilion finally got a nice use. Nice collections for large-scale exhibits.

Tina H. • November 27, 2011Amazing architecture! A must see in Shanghai.
Dave M. • November 29, 2020Trendy refurbished historical area like XinTianDi. I heard it was the foreign club area back in the 1920’s. Cool combination of historical and modern architecture.
Dave M. • April 22, 2018Very well done. Symbiotic relationship of local artists getting a place to show their work, and the Café gets a steady stream of patrons for high-end Coffee and snacks.
leon师傅 • November 10, 2018Decommissioned oil tanks, now reappropriated as an art space on the West Bund. Especially good as viewing rooms for video art.
Time Out Shanghai • March 27, 2012Exhibitions usually feature big name international artists, including Alex Katz, Richard Long and Louise Bourgeois. They simultaneously scout for new local talents. Admission is free.
John B. • August 9, 2015Interesting little museum with a wide range of posters to buy. It's hidden within the housing complex but it's signposted.
